Katy Endsley received the Excellence in Agriculture Award from the Ohio Farm Bureau, December, 2008. This award recognizes those who promote the agricultural industry through their daily work routine, but do not receive their primary income from an agricultural enterprise.

Lindsay Hill, a graduate of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences' agricultural communication program, was elected vice president of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting. Her tenure begins in January, 2009. Hill, owner and chief operating officer of AdVance Broadcast and Communication is a 10-year veteran of agricultural media and rural news radio. As vice president of the professional organization representing agricultural broadcast journalists, she will serve on the NAFB board of directors, and will work alongside members of the executive committee to lead the NAFB.
